Mission
At "What We Do," our mission is simple: we aim to ensure that every aspiring maker, from 6th graders to post-secondary students, has unrestricted access to our makerspace. We believe in the power of hands-on learning and the transformational impact it can have on young minds. Here's how our system operates:
1. Access for All:
We are committed to removing financial barriers. We're on a mission to raise $10,000 every month to cover the membership costs for all students in our community.
2. Veteran Support:
Veterans hold a special place in our hearts. We provide membership assistance to veterans on a case-by-case basis, ensuring that those who have served our country also have a place in our creative community.
3. Engaging Workshops and Events:
Beyond open access, we organize classes, workshops, and community events that foster collaboration and creativity. These are opportunities for hands-on learning and teamwork on exciting projects.
4. Membership Assistance:
Becoming a member is simple. For students, membership is automatic, and for individuals seeking assistance, we encourage you to reach out to us. To maintain membership assistance, we have a straightforward attendance requirement to keep the doors open for all who need it.
Why Your Help Matters:
By supporting "What We Do," you're enabling us to keep our makerspace accessible to every student and veteran in need. Your contribution ensures that budding innovators and aspiring creators have the tools and opportunities to thrive.
Join us in making a difference by supporting creativity, learning, and community. Together, we empower the next generation of makers.
